3 I thank my God every time I remember you. 4 In every prayer for all of you, I always pray with joy, 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now...
We love you all and we pray for you each day. We pray that God is revealing His glory to us all during this challenging time in our lives. Many of you have had much more family time, more time in God's Word, more time in prayer, etc. There are blessings to be found during the storm. We are praying that God would protect all of us from sickness, that He would provide financially for everyone, and that God would guide the doctors, scientists, local and national leaders with His wisdom. Please continue to partner with us in prayer. We are so thankful for your faith, your trust in God, your dependency upon Him no matter the circumstances. He is still on the throne, He is our refuge and strength, our ever-present help in time of trouble.
We had a difficult time streaming the Sunday service online this week, but it will be better for our next service. We were contemplating "drive-up" services, but our governor has just issued a "Stay at Home Order" for the state, which means don't go anywhere unless you have essential needs, such as food or medical services. Yes, we do feel that worship and growth are essential, but there are ways to do these things while minimizing the risk to each other's health. Therefore we will continue to stream our Sunday services and discontinue "Drive-thru" offerings, at least until this state mandate is lifted. Please give your tithes and offerings online (augustafirstchurch.org) or by mail (30 Nazarene Drive Augusta ME 04330).
Kim is no longer working at the church office, she is now working from home. If you call the church number (207-622-7529), the call will be forwarded to her phone. You can also email her at email@example.com. If you have an emergency, please call my cell phone -- 207-530-2961. That being said, even Maine General in Augusta is greatly limiting hospital visits. But I do want to be made aware of any emergency situations so I can at least pray or whatever else I am able to do.
Please be safe, everyone, and continue to look to God when the going gets rough. Let us know if you need anything, we will help however we can.
