As Christians, we are called to “love our neighbor” (who Jesus defines as anyone in need) and to be a means of grace and mercy to those who are hurting in our community and in our world.

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.

Matthew 25:35-36

God calls us to love our neighbors. Faith works food pantry was founded out of love. At Augusta First Church we want to be the hands of Christ in the community. We partner with local restuarants, farms, and supermarkets to help families and individuals who need some assistance.

The hands of hope and healing in our community

A friend loves at all times, and is born, as is a brother, for adversity.

Proverbs 17:17

Community events are times when we are able to go out into the community and shower all of God's children with the same love He has shown each of us. We would love to have you join us at our next event. Check out the Events page for additional information.
