Missions

As Christians, we are called to “love our neighbor” (who Jesus defines as anyone in need) and to be a means of grace and mercy to those who are hurting in our community and in our world.

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.

Matthew 25:35-36

God calls us to love our neighbors. Faith Works was founded out of love here at Augusta First Church, with a goal of providing food assistance and recovery support for those in need.  It has since moved to it's own location in Strong, Maine.

Local & World Outreach

Work and Witness trips are available all year long, and allow us to demonstrate Gods love for others through service both here at home and internationally. If you would like to learn more about the opportunity to help those in need through a Work and Witness trip visit: http://workandwitness.nazarene.org/

The hands of hope and healing in our community

A friend loves at all times, and is born, as is a brother, for adversity.

Proverbs 17:17

Community events are times when we are able to go out into the community and shower all of God's children with the same love He has shown each of us. We would love to have you join us at our next event. Check out the Events page for additional information.
